Men like to pretend all the time that their wives do nothing more than make their life more complicated. Well, recent studies may just prove that wrong. The cancer prevention center has found out that men that are married are a lot more likely to get the yearly check ups that they are suppose to get. Of course, they also wanted to point out that this goes for a lot more than just cancer screenings. This goes for men’s health as a whole.
They found this out after discovering that people who have prostate cancer in their family history are 40% more likely to do their regular screenings. All men should know that it is very important to get regular screenings for prostate cancer. However, that 40% only applied to people who are married or live with someone that was a significant other. Men who lived alone or are unmarried were far less likely to ever go about getting a screening done for prostate cancer.
So what does this mean? Pretty much, getting married plays a big role in men’s health. Most men do not go about getting the screenings that they need. In fact, it is normally their wives that talk them into keeping up with their health. This does not just go for prostate cancer, but a lot of other health problems as well. So the next time you feel like your wife is nagging you about going to the doctor to do a screening, remember that she could be the one that is saving your life. She is the person that can help you live healthier and happier!

We all know that smoking is bad for everyone. It does not matter if you are a man or a woman. All men know that their prostate is something that they have to take care of, and now they need to know how many problems they can have from smoking.

There are two types of tests used in knowing if you have prostate cancer. The first type of test is called the Digital Rectal Exam or DRE. This is the most popular type of test to detect prostate cancer which is also the most accurate. The second type of test is the prostate specific antigen test or PSA.

People will always look for ways on how to be healthier by preventing and fighting sickness. Health supplements have become the favourite alternative because of it will not cost as much as regular medicine and it will never require any doctor’s medication.
But health supplements should never be taken lightly. There are certain things that you should consider before you take any of the health supplements.
The first thing that you should remember about health supplements is that it’s a supplement. As a supplement it is manufactured to support whatever you’re taking in your body. For example, a health supplement for losing weight will only help you lose weight if you eat the right food. If you still eat food with a lot of calories and fat, you will never lose weight even though you’re taking the best weight loss health supplements.

Men are usually stubborn when it comes to medical check-ups. But the fact is, men might need more medical check that women do. Consider the data:
• life expectancy in males is less than female by seven years
• prostate cancer is as common in males (like breast cancer in females)
• men are more likely to die of heart related disease compared to women
• men have a higher chance of dying with cancer
These facts alone should make men realize the need for preventive check-up. Unfortunately, the facts tell a different story. Men postpone seeing a doctor. By the time they see the doctor, it might be too late for the doctor to do anything.
