Wives help men live healthier

Men like to pretend all the time that their wives do nothing more than make their life more complicated. Well, recent studies may just prove that wrong. The cancer prevention center has found out that men that are married are a lot more likely to get the yearly check ups that they are suppose to get. Of course, they also wanted to point out that this goes for a lot more than just cancer screenings. This goes for men’s health as a whole.

They found this out after discovering that people who have prostate cancer in their family history are 40% more likely to do their regular screenings. All men should know that it is very important to get regular screenings for prostate cancer. However, that 40% only applied to people who are married or live with someone that was a significant other. Men who lived alone or are unmarried were far less likely to ever go about getting a screening done for prostate cancer.

So what does this mean? Pretty much, getting married plays a big role in men’s health. Most men do not go about getting the screenings that they need. In fact, it is normally their wives that talk them into keeping up with their health. This does not just go for prostate cancer, but a lot of other health problems as well. So the next time you feel like your wife is nagging you about going to the doctor to do a screening, remember that she could be the one that is saving your life. She is the person that can help you live healthier and happier!
